In the opening stages the game was physical and both teams looked nervous. Only 23 points were scored in the 1st quarter which ended 14:9. In the 2nd quarter Peristeri was very strong defensively, only conceded 6 points and took the lead 20:25.

EKA AEL countered with tough defense of their own and made a come-back early in the 3rd quarter to regain the lead. That was enough for a win as EKA AEL held on to emerge victors, 63:57.

Argyris Pedoulakis, head coach of Peristeri, congratulated the home team and stressed that his players couldn't cope in the final stages due to the big number of games that Peristeri had to play in the Greek league and in Europe over the past several weeks.

Dragan Raca, head coach of EKA AEL, emphasised the importance of the 6th consequtive victory for his team and thanked the fans for their continuous support and faith in the team.
